Here is my system which I run with my mate (Beardy/Titanium) Dave.

All acquired/built in the last few years, mostly do a mixture of live music events, parties and street parties. Genres covered are usually Indy, Punk, Disco, Dubstep and Grime. Seems to do it all really well.

4x DAS Sub18s (30-75hz), 4x Kenwood MV9Ds (75-160hz), Top cabs do 155-50khz if Kenwood are to be believed lol. The diffraction slots really do sparkle though.

Don't care what anyone says, 16x 12"s is very sexy.

Before I built my tops and when the mid and top sections in the Kens were working.

There's always plans to add more sub, the plan is to eventually replace the DAS subs on the main rig with a pair of Volt loaded G Subs a side.

Here's the system as used for the marathon party :D Great fun it was, 30,000 people waving their hands in the air as they went past and people singing along a quarter of a mile away.

Had a Rio themed roof party in Hackney on Saturday. System was 4x DAS Sub18s, and top of my own design tops running off 2x BST1600s and a Matrix UKP2100x. The rig was partially powered by the huge array of solar panels on the roof :D

I should really finish those cabs. Need a round over, finishing, grills, foam and handles.

If truth be told, the tops needed to be higher up. But apart from using more subs what's the best way to raise up tops that weigh about 50kg?

Massive solar roof, the other side was the same! I love this doggy poo.

They have a weird history. The badge says loudspeaker monitors, Kenwood say they are special studio monitors but refuse to give me any info, and it seems they were only sold to the military. A few owners I've come across say they've used them in the force to keep the enemy awake at night. So I dunno, they sound fooking lovely though or rather did before a couple of the CDs and slots died on each. They are silly efficient. They need a -18db signal to balance in with the rest of the system running off just 500w. Eventually got the specs off someone who contacted Kenwood in Germany.

I did a load of research on them last night, as I was bored and I'm a geek, and it seems they were only ever sold to the British Army, specifically those elements stationed in Germany.

Very weird.

I love them too and it will be a sad when when it comes to taking the drivers our and building a new cab for them. But I might keep the old ones.
