I need a 100m of cat6 for the new office when I came across this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/100M-Network-Giga-Cat6e-RJ45-Cable-FREE-Connector-Boots-/280656366639?pt=UK_Computing_NetworkingTools_Accessories_SM&hash=item41586c4c2f

Seems very cheap. Is there any reason not to go with it?

I don't think there's any problem with that other than the fact it could end up a recoiling mess if
you weren't careful.

I don't know about this stuff  but, there's a lot of cable now that is made cheaply useing
(Copper Clad Aluminium) especially in the security industry and also I have noticed some cat6 here:http://www.kenable.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4172

I would prefer mine in a box, the extra will always come in useful for other projects.

What I thought was good from the same seller was this kit for £10

Check out CMS (www.cableman.co.uk) they can't touch that price, I suspect as Jez-3phase says, it's CCA, which is pretty shocking, another point if you actually want it for data as apposed to proprierty AV use cat-6 offer little advantage over CAT-5e but has a load of issues, like you tread on this stuff and it won't scan out clean after you install it....

If you want 10G then use fibre, if you can build the builing around it use cat-7, but in doubt cat-5e!

http://cpc.farnell.com/pro-power/cat6ls100m/category-6-cable-low-smoke-100m/dp/CB14781 looks like it may be worth the time to install, if you are going into the great outdoors make sure you get the extreior spec stuff....
