Hi All
My first post ;-)
I have some Shermann single 15" subs .... one has a blown driver.
I've sourced a replacement driver but ...
Foam off and got to mesh in front of baffle ...
No screws in provided screw holes in mesh frontage ...
Can't seem to find any mechanical fixings but I CANNOT get thse suckers off !!!
HELP !

A photo of the front would be helpful. Are you sure the driver goes in from the front?
Be seeing you.

I had the same problem with some Adlib subs.

The grills on these had no obvious screws holding them in.

After lots of looking I found that there were some screws going through the side of the box, pressing on the sides of the grill, holding it in place.

These screws had been covered up by the carpet covering of the box.

Maybe the Shermann grills are held in place in the same way.

Sometmes the edges are double folded into a C shape. The screws might be behind the front of the grille but going through the folded section. Look through the holes to check.

Any screws hiding behind the velcro that holds the foam on?

Been off radar - busy !
Thanks to all of you who offered advice ....
The damn things are a friction fit !!!!
Even worse the driver was not blown. The spade plate that is riveted to the basket had come adrift where the rivet had failed and was clattering against the back of the cone ... all re revited now and back in business with the added (?) bonus of a spare driver now Shocked

There is a guy near Gatwick that has a bunch of Shermann speakers for sale, he’s on eBay under the name Gemski12, has MRL 3 and LM401 monitors.
