I have a couple of X15's looking at building some punishers to go with them. Just wondering how low X15's can play too. Punishers can be played as high as 150hz but prefer to be played lower. Will the X15's play low enough or will i have to build a some kick horns like the HD15 to go high enough?

i think at a push, they might meet each other in terms of frequency. But your system will sound alot better with a dedicated kick bin.
The smaller bandwidths each speaker has to cover, the more rounded and efficient the system will be. I too have a similar problem, as my X1's are very low and my Omnitops just dont meet them. So i am going to build some HD215's. But until i have, i will just run the X1's and Omnitops as a short term solution. U just need to ask yourself, when the comprimise steps in, and what would you be happy with. Am just a newbie, but hope this helps. Wes |

X15's and Punishers will work just fine. Crossover at about 120Hz +- 20Hz acording to taste.
X15's will reach down to 60Hz or so if necessary but will work best as mid tops from 100Hz upwards.
