Hi there,
So I have a Void Acoustics branded Powersoft Bias Q5 (out of warrenty and a long way from a service centre) which i started up the other day, the central light flashed red so checked behind and one of the fans was not working.. So i checked the model number of the fan - Delta Electronics FFB0412EN-00 DC12V 2.10A Y0Z So I head to ebay and buy the same brand - Delta Electronics FFB0412EN-00 DC12V 2.10A DYJ however this new one has a few more details namely ' HW' and a P/N 32030272-003 So I swap them over and start up the amp... These new fans start going into overdrive like screaming and pumping out air like there is no tomorrow.. This lasts 30 seconds or so and then the amp goes into standby mode. I was replacing both fans even though only 1 fan died, so I plugged the original working fan back in on both ports and it just purrs as it should.. Incidentally I did try to reverse the blue and yellow cables just to see what would happen... and its spins in time with the PWM and after a half hour it flagged on armonia plus as a hardware fault an shut down.. Anyone happen to have any ideas about this.. Thanks. |

at the risk of stating the obvious the little code at the end of the part number is going to refer to the specs of the speed input and fan status output wires. The ones you ordered have the wrong spec for the amp by the sound of it.
More investigation is needed to see what the one good fan is chucking out on the feedback wire, assuming you managed to get the PWM input to work ok. The amp is assuming the new fan is faulty as it mustn't be getting the right signal back into the cpu. Edited by kedwardsleisure - 18 October 2024 at 12:14am |

So from what i have figured out dredging the depths of a few search engines is the following..
FFB4012EN-00 seems to be a standard code for a fan that runs at 25000 RPM and if you have ever seen that it is insanely fast and the fans on the amp just do not run at that speed.. So after a lot of searching and even talking to a Delta Electronics rep in the UK who did not particularly help much, I have found that there is another fan with the exactly the same model number that has '(LS)' marked on it meaning Low Speed I believe and apparently only runs at 2500 RPM.. However the only place that I could find that sells it was Amazon Canada..they do not ship outside of Canada..lol Luckily as fate would have it our friend is staying for 2 weeks and her auntie lives in Canada, so I am getting them shipped to her place then they are shipping them to me in NZ... I will let you know if they work.. but what a bloody hassle... |

Hi,
I am working on a preset for Void Stasys X v1 Neo version. 2800 Watt RMS 4 OHM I use: Hi Pass : 30 Hz - 24 dB/oct But Lo pass : 120 Hz - 48 dB/oct LR but I am not sure for the limiters. The powersoft calculator say following: RMS voltage 74 V Attack Range 2-4 seconds Release Time 4-8 seconds Peak Voltage 169 V Attack Time Range 16-32ms Release Time 128-384 ms Clipping voltage 222 What are would you using, because I find that parameters are not accurate. Best Regards Marvin |
