After a discussion on another thread, I'm almost bored enough, to draw up a 21" Midi Scoop Design,  1000mm x 636mm x 750mm design.

Only question is, is there a market for this !?

The point of this exercise, would be for 1-2x man crew, to fit enough rig in a Transit, to cover 400x people venue, off 2x13A plugs.

18" Scoop/mini systems have been doing this for years, but with modern amps and drivers, more can be had for less.

Good Afternoon,

What's a 'Midi' scoop, as opposed to a 'mini' scoop?
We call 'mini' scoops Canadians here BTW...

In UK, typical mini Scoop, is approx 900mm tall.

Many in UK, class midi scoop, as 1M tall.

Atm the majority seem to just be interested in 50+ hz bass so not sure how popular your scoop will be. Shame really. Roots sounds used to be known for heavy sub but these days its all just high bass.

Not been to real Roots dance in years, but I hear WSP and similar level crews are pounding 32hz and up.

But from years ago, I went a dance, where, whenever the non Scoop sound were playing,  they were pounding out 60hz, and the unlearned were saying how heavy they were.

I left at 00:30hrs, looking forward to going BK,  more than any more ear fatigue.

Only 400 people with the amount of kit that'll fit in a Transit?? I'd want double that personally...

As an example,

4x proper 1kw Scoops,
4x ES18s
4x MT121s loaded with PD121/Beyma CP 750TI
Void Inf8 mk2 on sub,
LMS and sub bass pre amp

Above will fit in Transit LWB,  Luton tail lift is always better for 2x man crew.

Mate and I used similar setup for years, never ever needed, to run full power.
Used double that, for 5k people venue, with extremely high ceiling, 13A sockets only.
Noise people/venue owners, would always intervene, due to thunderous sub.
