Champ, the thread in the back plate is probably for screwing on a compression driver for the Co-Axil version.

It helps to dissipate more heat as there is more surface area.
 
Ha ha, if you took the dust cap off and screwed on a massive comp driver you could have the worlds most hard core coaxe driver.

this thread has been interesting me again

has anyone loaded 4 big chamber scoops i.e. (shortman full size) with V18-1200 and spanked them with 1000w+ per driver yet??
