Hey SP,
Currently i have two Staiper Full sized scoops. But i am considering building some 1850 horns to replace them. My only problem is, i do not own any PD 1850's.. And because I'm in Canada, its damn hard to get a pair over here and too expensive to buy the B&C equivalents. My scoops are loaded with Goldwood GW-18120, 18" subwoofers (600w rms). I honestly cant complain they are more then enough for my little basement setup in my house. So obviously, i'm aware they are no where close to the 1850's standards. My question is: Do I run any risk to damaging my speakers by loading them in this folded horn enclosure? Any input will help. Thank You!

Why are you moving to the 1850 design over scoops?
FLH puts a great deal of stress on the cone, and I'm guessing that the Goldwoods (being a relatively budget item) will not have the cone strength required.
