We are refurbishing a pair of turbosound Tms2s and both the mids are blown. Been trying to find recone kits or replacement drivers and have found a pair of PD104s
They aren't quite the same spec as the original drivers, but they are the same size - could we get away with using them or will the fact that they are 8ohm 500w instead of 16ohm 100w melt the internal crossover or something? I'm assuming they will seem louder as well

The change in impedence will also alter the crossover frequency.
