Hi folks,

Just wanted to see what other peoples thoughts are about an issue I'm having..

I recently received a new 2" P Audio horn flare, which is for a box I'm using as a prototype build for a client.

The horn (SC-2064) has a metal driver mounting plate. When the CD is mounted, there's a 3mm gap between the exit of the driver and throat of the horn.

To me, it appears there's an issue, as I don't believe there should be a gap which hopefully the gasket might/might not fill up - it needs to be a really good/smooth connection and transition between the two. The gasket on the driver I'm using certainly won't fill it up, and I don't think it's my responsibility to cnc a suitable spacer to fill the gap.

Any thoughts..?

No, the face of the mounting plate sits 3mm proud of the throat (its made of two pieces, the mounting plate is metal, horn polymer, screwed together), and has a space around it of about 10mm. Dunno what's going on with the design. Apparently it's in spec, and the gasket is supposed to fill the gap, according to the distributor. Never seen anything like it.
