Hi, I've got a Matrix UKP1600 that has a domed top on one pair of capacitors - the amp seems fine audibly for now - should I get them replaced post haste?

yes at your soonest convenience. At the very least they'll be down on capacitance and up on ESR. The usual complaint is early clipping on bass notes. It can happen to any amp but the Jamicon ones usually favoured by matrix seem to like bulging when overloaded.
