Nice, just to clarify that +3db
It's double power, but to HEAR double the power you'll need+10db +9db is 2x2x2= 8 times as much power (from 1000W to 8000W sounds double as loud:-) And even more if power compression starts kicking in. I agree with AAP, you need to learn more basics before spending money (unless you're just rich) Google around, look around the forum and read some dry articles on sound! |

Go for it you wont be dissapointed.
Bass en mass well depends what you think is musical,i had tbx before it was "warmer" but i wouldnt describe it more musical just slower. With these kind of drivers like the xb1500 you feel the fast note changes much better. Imo that would be more musical than the boomines. Its a matter of preference and taste. And it certainly aint a one note monster. Edited by Sypa - 23 December 2015 at 10:03pm |

That's ok bro!
After all it's kind of the point with having a forum. Guess we just like to feel like the wise guys & help others at the same time ![]() After all I really know that I'm an amateur, but I keep meeting people with much bigger businesses that stuns me with how little they know. Where was it that you're from? You should be able to find some reading on acoustics & soundsystems in your own language, but it's a good way to learn english too and it's an advantage for international jobs:-) |

Have you decided to use the Oberton just because the price?
Dont get me wrong, but 11mm x-max is not a lot by any modern standard. I would go for something that can really go deep, not just punch. If the sound you looking for is more punchy then go with it. But is you want to make a sub that will go deep i'd rather look at xb1600 if you want to stay with Oberton. Have anyone tried the BMS 18S450 in a Hog? |

bozhidar, do you plan to link up with other sounds in your area using hog+xb1500?
If not you could decide what sound/tone would work out best for you?! If oberton is close to you, you might be able to demo the few candidates and make up your own mind.. As Marjan said, i also believe a "softer" driver will help with a warmer sound. tbx might be a bit too loose or doesnt match the hog chamber well, not compared the hog with any drivers so pure guesswork on this certain combo :) xb1600 and xb1601 should be good options for the hog, 1601 propably better compromise between "warmth" and "tightness". At the end its really a matter of taste and style.. oh and wallet obviously.. |
