If he’d just started a couple of threads to post his thoughts/ideas It would have been absolutely fine and could have even been fun bouncing ideas around... however, he hijacks other people’s threads turning them into garbage.
The text above was originally written by a human but was 'perfected' by AI. Any remaining grammatical errors are proof of AI's uncanny ability to misunderstand while exuding absolute confidence.

Given that this thread started asking about amplifiers, and the OP has got themselves sorted, I shall keep this brief.

Quote Fudge you need to stop fudging numbers.  Re for the 18Sound is 3.1 not 6.8 which means its motor strength is double that of the RCF.

18sound offers the The 18NTLW5000 in both 8 and 4 ohms. It is a more valid comparison to compare speakers of equal impedance. If anything, it is you that is being disingenuous.

You post on the thread basically to tell the OP he has bought the wrong loudspeaker drive unit. It wouldn’t be so bad if what you wrote iwas helpful, but it wasn’t.

Quote you need to stop posting random formulas without any context.

You stated:

Quote i call BS on them.  there is not a single place on the internet that explains what causes mass break point frequency.  it is a total mystery.

The context was a response to your statement about there being no information out there. If you look for it, there is. I simply posted examples, and given the topic, i.e., upper roll-off frequency, the the equation is actually relevant  and not totally random.  My point was that just because google doesn’t have the immediate answer doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

Your comments about the JBL tech paper don’t merit a reply.

Have you considered starting your own blog to crave the need to write so much?

Hey guys,

Well i must tell you that i chose and bought an amp. I am new to this and i loved building these subs. This was my first build and i loved every part of it. I also learned a lot and i know my next build will be much better. At least thats the goal Smile.

The amplifier i chose is the IHOS D3600.
The next posts on this feed will probably be about how stupid i am that i chose this amp but i really dont care. I am a student on a budget who's looking for fun projects about the stuff i like and learning a lot about audio and speakers. I know my builds wont win prices but i am ok with that.

I could not be happier with the result. They sound great, its warm and powerful and i am ready for my next project.

thanks for the tips and recommendations.

That's not an amp I'm familiar with but it looks a decent bit of kit, it has a hint of lab gruppen about it. Let us know how it performs. Smile
