Can you split the G2 sub in half and get two G1's? If not, does anyone have or know of where I can get plans for single 18" bass reflex sub plans. I am wanting to use Eminence Omega Pro 18's as the woofers.

I was going off of the recommendation of another thread (G Sub with Eminence Omega Pro Speaker). "I would leave the port's depth alone, and, just put the Omegas in the The speaker I will actually be using is Carvin's PS18H-8 (similar to Eminence Omega Pro 18). http://www.carvin.com/tsp.html I have two of them and would like to use them in a single eighteen. But if I put them into a G2 sub, I could always buy two more at a later time and have two G2 subs This would max me out on power. I have a Mackie 1400i and a Crown XLS 402. If I run the Mackie bridged, I could put 1400 watts @4 ohms for my subs and the Crown bridged, I could put 1120 watts @ 4 ohms for my mains. So the question is really, one G2 sub or two 18" bass reflex subs. |

i have a plane for some B&C 18" NW100s. 5.477 cubic foot (155.10 L). a good 1kw rms, tuned at 40hz (37.29hz) 124db continous SPL and a max SPL of 128db all running from 40hz to about 250hz. tuning is just slightly off from being nice and flat (flat hits at 45hz tuned "44.37hz"). inside the walls its 20"x20"x22" (50.8cm X 50.8cm X 55.88cm). 40hz tuned with two vents 2"x9.625"x10" (5.08cm X 24.45cm X 25.4cm} 45hz tuned with two vents 2"x9.625"x6" (5.08cm X 24.45cm X 15.24cm). Cab is built with 18mm 13ply Birch.
155.10 Litres come from the actual volume of the 20x20x22 plus the non-taken space behind the vents. both tuned areas have about the same SPL output sadly im not too good with autoCAD so those numbers are about all i can give ya Edited by Sencesync |
