Had a little go at a modded one of these (Electrikal style) today. went and cut the top part next to the access panel 50mm short though! (Meaning the access panel will be 50mm larger) can anyone see this causing any problems? also went for the original bracing style (it was getting late!) does anyone know if the bracing was more of a cosmetic thing to match the hogs or actually necessary? A lot of guess work was going on as the only modded plan i could find is really low resolution so I couldn't read most of the measurements!

Can't see to many sonic differences as chamber size and volume will be the same. Also belive the bracing was to match hogs. I prefer original as I think looks better when mouth to mouth

Thanks! ye i can't see how it would make any difference other than mounting the drivers being a bit easier
glad to hear about the bracing I was worried i'd messed it up by being lazy haha

I've put pd186's in them and I'm more than happy with how they sound but it looks like xb's will do the job too: http://forum.speakerplans.com/es18bph_topic27036_page13.html
