Hi can i  make the  sides staight not on a angle ? would it  make a difference to the sound also need to  change the height because the horn wont fit in a 900

Yes you can do whatever you like, make sides parallel, change height, paint pink, whatever.   Changing dimensions will change the tuning frequency and you need to know about this.  If you're going to mess about with it you may as well just design from scratch.  Also it won't be an x12 any more if you change the design, it'll just be a reflex mid top. 
 
Making all sides parallell will negatively impact the sound quality as any parallell sides will have standing waves between them when in use.  Personally I wouldn't build mid tops with parrallell sides, although I  think most folk would argue that it will make minimal difference  in practice.
