With 3ways instead of two distortion will be lower overall too.
Guess you could try 2 x conical 8"s and see how it goes?

The centauri 8"s look a little hard to me to make!

yes! and [fair play to him mind] he also wont sell me the plans [like i said i dont blame him! also hes been very helpfull with other projects]

er he does give enough info on there i guesse for you to work out similar plans [ie he talks you through the design phase in some fair amount of detail] that would look nice..... also i could run the 12" from 150hz<600hz [2 octaves] and the upper mid [be they 8" or 6" or 6.5" or any other number of inches] from there up to 2.4 khz [2 octaves] or even heigher,,,,

eventualy id have sub running an octave [30<60hz maybey with a slow rolloff from 60hz up........ ie overlapping the kick bass a little.
the kick bass running 1 1/2 octaves... 55hz<160hz ish

the low mids running an octave.. [150<600hz maybey slow rolloff on the top here, so the 12" still has noticeable out put up to say 1khz

upper mids playing between 2 and 2 1/4 octaves ie 600hz<2.4 or maybey even 3khz...  then
the compression drivers only have to cover 2 octaves [ie 2.4/3khz <10khz] and the bullets can play the last octave........
could be realy nice and mean that transients [at almost any frequency] can be noticed..... [snare drums actualy punch almost as hard as a kick drum if its got enough guts behind it...]
shame the limeer 6" isnt arrayable or id be tempted to copy it... hmmmmm fibreglass, id like to use that!
cheers
markk.

Itd be nice to not have the 60hz-160hz bin-Surely the low mid can be extended down to 110hz and bassbin up to there???

hahaha ive already built the kick bins... [sellenium hb1505d1]
hmmmm not sure that the subs were gonna build will do much above 60hz for tekno/psy trance [the bulk of what we play...]
too many transients in the 60<100hz region id guess.

hm,120hz highest ive seen, alot seem to filter it below 100hz.If you filter it real sharp you might get away with a higher cutoff.
