Xtro + Punisher Processor

   Hi,
Do you know what is suitable processor to run Xtro's and punisher? I'm looking for DBX PA+, but that will be just for xtro. I'm right? Low, mid, high. What about sub? And if subs will be running trough DBX 234xl that mean they will be separately of Xtro's and feadback filter will be applied just for xtro and not for the subs. Can anybody make it clear for me. Thank you.

	you need to get a processor that can do more than 3 outs such as the behringer dcx (provided you only need mono) there are other processors aswell which can do 4 out stereo but they are alot more expensive, i think there is one in the for sale thread at the moment

	The absolute minimum would be DCX2496 but then you would be limited to mono sub and midbass. You can't do that on Driverack PA

	I agree with pfly this DCX2496 option would be the cheapest workable solution. Indeed sub and midbass in that case are mono but that is not so big a problem at these lower frequencies. As far as sound quality and reliablity goes I personally do not prefer the Behringer stuff. But as said above it is cheap and you do get a lot of value for you money! Best regards, Walt

	Thanks, I don't want to spend money on Behringer. Is there any other processor that i can buy to run 2 Xtro's and 2 Punishers? Or is the option to run: DBX PA+ with Xtros and Feadback surpressor with DBX234 crossover for Punisners. DBX 234 is in the rack already so that can be used for Punishers.

	hundreds of people use the DCX2496 day in day out on this forum, and the general concensus is they are unbeatable for the money. i used to own a DBX PA, but i had to change to a DCX when i got Xtros because of the inflexibility of the DBX it'd be silly to buy an LMS that can't do all of the system. unless you have a big budget, in which case i'd go KT/BSS/XTA Edited by Saul - 21 November 2010 at 5:28pm

	The DBX PA is the biggest pile of turd I've ever tried to use. I'd rather just run everything full range than use one.

	DCX is the one. They sound good, this has been proven time and time again. The routing is better than nearly all the ££££ competition.

	I really can't understand people saying the Behringer Ultradrive is bad. The only thing about it is that frying egg syndrome, which is easily fixed. Sound quality is very good, even by much more expensive standards and it's well worth the price. There are only three reasons I see to buy other LMS: 1. A needed feature is not on board of the DCX, like 8 outs or ethernet control. 2. You have a PA system that requires a specific LMS, like Nexo. 3. You are in a position where the customer demands to see only "high quality" (read expensive) products. If any of these are true, go for Xilicas XP4080. Yes, it's double of the DCXs price, but it has 8 outputs, so you can drive your setup completely in stereo.
