Hello!
We are in the very beginning of building our sound here.. I want to use old drivers from some cheap chinese speakers from EBay as beginning, until I have money for good drivers. I can use some free ply so I want to build boxes for them and have a running sound, until I get around the new drivers. and cabs for them. I have 2 x 15 inch drivers, truth be told, I don't know many parameters for them.. I want to build boxes for them, one way to get some sound, but most important to get some more experience in building and when I do the proper ones I do them much better!
This is all the info I get for them.. I know it sounds like a very silly request, asking for a box design, without parameters of drivers, but as I said, it's to build something to get some sound with the idea to get experience! What can you give as idea to start from ?

It's way too little info to say anything meaningfull on possible use, let alone some cab design for it.The only parameter that could mean something is this 102dB figure. If that is accurate, it would indicate a midspeaker or a low-midspeaker at best, not a woofer by any means.
I suspect it's rather a simple, allround kind of speaker, that you can throw in some medium sized BR box and make some noise with it. If it's for getting some cab building experience and have maybe some wood laying around, sure why not have some fun with it, as long as you don't have big expectations. |
