hiya
Can anyone Recommend 2x15 cab? just stripped some trap cabs with some Eminence Delta Driver's 400w so would like to put them to some use
only need x1 for these drivers im after a reflex design maybe like the B&C SUB215 or read about the G-Sub style 15" anything thats an easy build, would like it to be versatile to play bass (only sometimes if need to) for small party ect but most of the time to play upper bass freq around 70hz-180-200 there about its to sit on top of 2x Scoops little 4way set, being looking at that B&C SUB215 but would these drivers be suitable for this cab, dont need to drive them stupidly hard just so you can hear their presence. Thanks...... |

Have a read of this thread, has the plans posted half way through!
we love them and they are great for pretty much anything apart from real low lows |

Id say if your gonna use big drivers and put a lot of force through the box then yes put the bracing in !!
but ours were never meant for that. We use them with small band setups with a top or put both in a mono stack with a couple of tops stacked on them to play house music in small spaces and they are great. also use them above 4 hogs and they are very musical 90-180/200 from the thread youll prob see we loaded them with kappa pro 15s which I think has made them work well for us but need to link theu se of the box with the right driver I think. Our combo is pefect for us and if I had more money id build an other pair, still might after we have got more hogs and tops sorted.

You'd probably want something smaller and tuned higher than the B&C sub215
Do you think it did so well due to the port arrangement, or clever processing? Not that I have anything against the idea, but I guess if they were to use Waves Maxxbass like processing that would definitely help improve someone's perception of what the cab's capable of... I dont want to clog up this thread,
Cd player into amplifier, amplifier to sub, amplifier has a great software inside and Bose have done all the processing for you. Great combo and sounds good 2u amp with lots off features.

And how is this Bose product going to help with the DIY project he has in mind, for the drivers he has in hand?
And how much is this little Bose toy? |

I can vouch for these too but don't agree with the "real lows" bit with the right drivers they are quite a formidable cab for a smallish system, put a couple of 2226 JBL's in them and they'd go low enough for most.
