hey guys,
how are these at running sub, each bridged into 4r? the specs do quote for 2ohm output, but should i do it or not? if theyre up for it, would i get a pair for say...200 quid? thanks in advance |

I don't own one, but JBLman owns several MINT condition ones and swears by them. I have the 450 and it sounds very sweet on any duty. Should imagine bridged would be very noisy ;)

Of course the other option you have shaney is to buy a ppx1600,that will give 2x830w into 4 ohms (or 2x1100 into 2) to run subs,you should easily get one for £200 if you dont mind a few scratches.

i did consider that but would prefer a bit more for each of my gsubs... hence why i suggested the 900's bridged. the proline i have at the min is slightly 'unreliable' lets say... and i have a thing for old skool amps :]

When bridging these amps can you just plug the XLR's into the back and switch to Bridge, or do you have to wire tails across the terminals? I do not have a manual, so was just checking. I take it pin 2 is hot aswell?
Anyone remember when pin 3 was hot?

You have to use both the Red terminals binding posts,and Channel A becomes the positive.

i had a ppx, it was rather solid. very solid. and very heavy, but the bassline was heavy too.
buti sold it and got a berry ep2500 :)
