We are currently using a combination of 4 x QSC 4050hd amps either bridged into pairs of scoops or parallel into kick and mid cabs.
This is versatile as we can easily switch amps around , they seem reliable work horses,  used they're not too expensive and they sound decent enough.
But thats 120kg + just for those 4 amps and we'd like to cut this weight down if possible so have been looking at the QSC PL340 , output specs and cost used seem similar.
Anyone have any opinions on the reliability of the PL340 , sound compared to the 4050's etc ?
This is on a fairly traditional roots reggae sound , 4 scoops , reflex and sealed cabs above etc.
Were not at all hung up on sticking with QSC they just seem to fit the bill !
My gut feeling is between cost , weight , reliability etc something has to give as i cant find anything that ticks all boxes !
All comments appreciated , thanks in advance

Which drivers are your Scoops loaded with?

To be honest, for the weight, I found QSC 4050HDs, to be lacking in bridge.

QSC PL340, goes not have well known reputation in bridge, on sub.

Depending on your drivers, HPF settings, you may find Admark AD60, powers 4x of your drivers, just as well, as a Pair of 4050HDs in bridge.

My Fav QSC amp of all time, is the PL380, but you will not obtain optimum performance, running it off domestic supply/13A plugs.

Powersoft K20 is better at that.

Thanks for your reply,
The scoops are Mogal super's loaded with 18XB's but Void V-1000's are the plan in the not too distant future.
HPF is 38Hz.
For other reasons we'd like to stick with the 1 amp per pair of scoops model.
When you say the PL340 does not have a good rep on bridged sub , is that for sound or durability ?
A lot of the time we are using multiple 13A outlets so that's also a consideration.
Are there any light weight amps that output around 3.5 - 4k at 4ohm when bridged that sound great on sub and I guess have been around for a while so we might be able to find them second hand for a price we can afford ?

Fane 18XBs and Void V18-1000s, are some of the easiest drivers to power in the Superscooper.

A single Void Infinite 8MK2/FFA10, will power 6x of those drivers.

The FFA10, also has 2x power inputs.
Strongly suggest you borrow/demo Admark AD60/AD42, driving 4x cabs, before buying PL340.

sell the 4050s and get a ffa10k ,itech8000 ( dont even think about the pl340 sideways move ) have the resale value then also over the admark , deals can be had used , we were using one the other day to run 4 pd2150s and sound very nice indeed outside no clip , that will run 6 of your v1000s all day 3 a side and on your fanes slap 8 on it , just use 4mm and sep runs per pair of cabs , i have heard ad60 few times lately as lev mentioned and it ooodles power , if you want silly sub spl , rip the dog leg out them supers and put the pd 185300c in, my mate has done this  and the results are ,Nuke dont do that with xbs tho , it wont be loud enough ,  !!! my fav super scoop combo i used  was super scoop no dog leg and tmax 1000s for ref
