Hello

I have already built a littler version of the C sub because the bas speaker I had was smaller than the recommended speaker. I was looking at the other plans and saw the plan for the X10. I would like to make two X10's but i don't have al the information i need to build one. I have found the P Audio SN 10MB : http://www.proaudioparts.co.uk/paudio.asp. I would like to buy two of them. Now aint I familliar with this kind of high/mid freq speakers. I am only familliair with hifi mid/high that work the same as a hifi bas speaker. Could someone please explain me how PA high/mid freq speakers work, what I understanded was that it is made of a driver and a horn? For the X10 is a SD-740 driver recommended but this driver is 150 dollar/euro. So i would like to know if there is a alternative driver for this cabinet wich had about the same power but is a bit less expensive.
Is there for this cabinet also a filter recommended?
And there is also a adaptor recommended, I've read other topics but because I'm Dutch I still don't realy get it.
I would be verry happy if someone could help me out.

Caspar

If you put the comp in the centre of the bass mid drivers then any number of comps would do the job. I have used the P.Audio bmd440 in this application and it worked perfectly crossed at 2.2k. The 10's are going to beam a bit at the top end but that's about the only downside.
