I've heard about these but never seen one up until now (bit like a unicorn), When I spoke to Geoff at Matamp not so long ago he told me about the Genesis, saying it was supposed to take over from the Stereo supernova but Matt wasn't really happy with it so the project got got scrapped but a few escaped.

Tell me about it, in a week's time I could afford it but as per the norm stuff always comes up when the cash isn't available, I would have bought this just to have a close look at it.

Edit
Yes 1U is power supply but metering built into mixer this time supposed to be better than the supernova for quality of sound.

Looking at it closely, seems to be very similar in ideas to the Formula sound PM80 from around the same time, with removable individual channels? Easier to service than the Supernova i would think.

Interesting, the seller is in Huddersfield,so it hasn't travelled far in its life!
Be seeing you.

It was supposed to be direct competition for the pm80 but built with radar quality components, apparently Matt went off the idea because he didn't like to see screw heads on the front panel
and he thought it looked messy.
Edit to correct the cocky up by using a mobile phone to post.

It must have cost Matt a fortune to make, the tooling and printing for the individual channel front panels, the PCB's inside, the power supply, the chassis itself, just to make a run of 4 or 5 prototypes...seller says it cost £2500 new,i bet it cost Matt that to build it.

No doubt, makes you wonder what would have happened to formula sound if the genesis had gone into production, taking into acount the pm80 didn't have a crossfade at the time which was one of the reasons a lot of Dj's were put off it.
