hello!
some friends need some small soundsystem, just for little concert, small parties! they have always trouble with police so there is no possibility of a big system! and also everything is DIY and low budget! so i got 6 oberton 15b450 left from my hd215 project and thought about building cabs with this driver, because i got them very very cheap! so i know they arent the best reflex drivers and i now they will not play very low, but this isnt wanted! i thought about a double 15er reflex cab, i think the oberton needs 55-65litres! so now the really important question: I thought about an push-pull cab, will it have more output like normal double reflex? thanks for your answer and helping. No more output, just less distortion. There is some gain from compression in the slot when you have multiple cabinets stacked for more baffle area. One builder measures about 2.75dB gain with a stacked pair (above the normal 3dB gain from stacking). It takes a lot of area to hold this gain up to the lowest frequencies. A friend has 12x PPSL that are 36" wide, he has enough frontal area to get some substantial gain down low. Edited by _djk_ - 09 May 2013 at 7:35pm |
