Well the OP asked for a variant of the Q1. That this box it is. In the Q1 HF waveguide is not the problem, problem is the the configuration of the lf drivers. They are too far from each other so the HF will have to go extremely low. And it does not.

the origional post is asking for plans for a line array cab similar to D&B Xrange size...

many people have overlooked this and gone off on a typical SP rant about copying and how the magic beans D&B use cannot be bought and the processing behind it etc etc etc....... He wasnt asking to do a like for like copy of an X1 now was he?

Whats the scenario they are to be used on like? Does it have to be 'line array'?

Ginger that is why i proposed those boxes. At the price they sells them it is not worth making them. Especially the rigging.

yeah fair play, it was others who surprised me with the dribble they autotyped without actually reading the question asked.

And agreed, designing your own rigging and getting it tested is both difficult and expensive - but lets face it, DIY line array isnt exactly practical.

Without knowing the intended purpose of the cabinets, how can you go ahead recommending them? We dont know what subs are going under at what Xover, nor the install type (flown or ground, tour or install), SPL required etc etc etc.........

I'm a little late getting in on this discussion, (by years!) but where did everyone find the rigging hardware?  Horns and wave guides are everywhere, but where do you find the rigging hardware.  I don't particularly want to mfg it myself.

I appreciate any and all responses.
If you can, please send the response by email also.
thanks,  Vern
