now that is a neat "little" set up sir!

you can get away with 2 amps and a crossover for a good sounding non-bank breaking system.

..may i recomend matrix amps if you havent bought/thought about amps yet. i have a similar set up and use a 800XT for tops and a 6004XT on bass duty. its very light weight and with a set of wheels a nice one man mini touring system

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Would the DB Technologies HPA3100L amp be ok for bass duty?( 2 cubo's with Eminence Kappa Pro-15LF-2 per channel) there are 2 for sale here second hand and they are pretty light.

just had a look at that amp... brand new they are a fair old wack of £££!

if your getting them for a good deal i dont see why it wouldnt be worth a punt. good output and if your getting two should suit your system quite well. i think your skimping a bit on head room for the subs but as iv never known anyone to own one of these amp im sure if its not up to the job you can allways sell it on for the money you paid and keep one for just the midtops.

Hi, just looking at this thread and your plans is exactly the same as I am looking to work with, did you come up with a plan that would match all of the xover points?

Has the system being built and any changes made?

Hi King David,
Just wondering as you said they don't have much output below 160hz, could they still be used down to 100hz just without much kick, or do they start to sound bad. cheers Ollie
