Any Proven 218 sub design for these subs? Looking for a punchy bass with lots of throw...

there is no such thing like "throw" in bass-frequencys.

But i think what you mean would be achieved by a horn.
the 18lw2400 is very suitible for short horns or bandpasshorns. how many are you planning to build?

there is a suggested design for this driver from 18sound, it works very well but you need to have at least a stack of 4 ;)

If you want a design readily available I expect they will work fine in the GSub on this site.

You could equally do a twin version of the B&C Sub18 or the 18Sound Kit18 for alternative reflex designs.

I wouldn't be surprised if they would also work in the 186 Horn too but I'm speculating a little.

I think that the Gsub may be a bit big and tuned too low for optimal use with these drivers.

Not got time at the moment otherwise I would do you a simple design :(

The GSub really isn't that big in the grand scheme of double 18" reflex subs.  Without even subtracting the port or driver volume, it only works out at about 165l per driver.

I run the 18LW1400 which is the 2400's predecessor (they are supposed to be direct equivalents) in that volume cab or even slightly larger and they work very well indeed.  Spec on the 18Sound site says 130-350L enclosure volume.

Largest double 18" cabs I've worked with have been almost 300L per driver and tuned about 30Hz.  Admitedly they were designed for a highly exotic Aurasound driver with an underhung voice coil and muh-hassive excursion...  The Fane reference design for the 18XB is 200L and I'd be pretty confident the 18LW1400/2400 would work fine in similar cabs.

I'm not trying to say you're wrong as as such Tony, just justifying my recommendation.
