..a few layers of thin (3mm) plywood ..with a lot of glue between each..

Will 5mm ply work for the flare also???, as i have a lot lying around. Except it might be harder to bend 5mm ply?? |

If you're able to bend it correctly you can use it. It will definitely be more difficult tho. (Don't make it wet by the way). 5 layers in 5 mm? Nothing wrong with that. If you have three layers of 5 mm you'll get 15 layers total in 15 mm. 11 layers in 15 mm or 13 layers in 18 mm is the most common standard. Cheers |
