when makin the the curved aprt of the HD15.. what wood do i use?

how do i make the curve?

is it 18mm thick

..a few layers of thin (3mm) plywood ..with a lot of glue between each..

Will 5mm ply work for the flare also???, as i have a lot lying around.

Except it might be harder to bend 5mm ply??

If you're able to bend it correctly you can use it. It will definitely be more difficult tho. (Don't make it wet by the way).

5 layers in 5 mm? Nothing wrong with that. If you have three layers of 5 mm you'll get 15 layers total in 15 mm. 11 layers in 15 mm or 13 layers in 18 mm is the most common standard.
