Was wondering if there was any one in here who could give me some advice. Currently i have 4 X l18p300 rcf speakers, and they have amazed me. The most awsome sounding speaker ever. currently i am running 2 speakers off a ce2000 (bridged). About 1000 watts per speaker. I am wanting to remove the speakers from the cabs i built and put them in a g sub box. what do you people think about that. and if i do this, does any one have any recomendations on what i should use for mid/tops? i would like to stick with rcf. pretty much looking for speaker recomendations and box designs. can any one help me out Thanks. |

Well, the (almost) defacto standard recommendation for that speaker is
the Achenbach 18" bass-reflex (www.lsv-achenbach.de -> pläne),
though it has usefull parameters for other cab types too. Used to be
seen as the bass-weapon of choice a while back and is still highly
regarded.

Oh, you meant for a mid-top, that would depend on what you use the for
(size gig, indoors/outdoors, live/recorded music, etc). Two of them a
side might do well with a 2x12" like the X12 or similar adn get you to
reasonable heights without any sort of spacer.
