Hi all
Got a PV2600, one channel isn't working as it should. Symptoms below:
I've got a scope and multimeter, and know a middling amount about electronics - anyone point me in the right direction for diagnosing the above? Thanks!

Check the voltage on the input board, ie make sure that the ic´s are getting the correct rails. If ok, then inject signal and try tracing the path. Maybe one of the input opamps down?

Chasing an input signal was my first thought - strangely the amp has fixed itself but next time the problem shows up that will be my first port of call. Maybe a loose connection to the input board?

"fixed itself"
Now, that would have me even more worried! Sure to fail again at the most inconvenient moment. ![]() Could be loose connector, bad solder joint, etc, etc. Do the tracing thing - and tap around the board with a something non-conductive to see if the fault appears again. |

You're dead right - will attack it over the weekend. Also planning a stress test which will no doubt amuse my neighbours

Make sure you have the proper current available for the PV 2600 will not deliver its power if the voltage is too low. Best Regards, |
