Dear all,
I was hoping someone could help me identifying this amplifier. It is laying around on the shelf for quite some time now, I almost forgot about it, and now I'm hoping to get more info. The seller told it was a 'Gisen Audio' amplifier, but after asking them via mail they confirmed it is not made by them. I do believe it is a Chinese-brand amplifier. But which one? On the front is the following, in a very bad/unreadable font: 'Y-4' More pictures of inside and backside will follow soon. Thank you! Teun Edited by 4AC - 03 November 2017 at 8:19am |

I am far from an amplifier specialist, but the inside reminds me of Dap Stage-Amp and Proel HPX. But I could be totally wrong?

It's an MC2 cloned amplifier.

Gisen stuff seems pretty popular in France (or it at least comes up for sale pretty regularly). You might have some luck if you try on the hornplans.fr forum?

You really think so? I assume you mean MC2 E-series then? Can you confirm this? Maybe it is a clone of MC2 E475? Can someone make an estimation of the power output of this amplifier? Or is this difficult to see on the pictures?
Thank you for your reply, but as mentioned in my first post: the manufacturer themselves already confirmed this amplifier is not made by them, so it is most definitely not a 'Gisen Audio' amplifier. |
