No 21ipal.. the ipal's magnet isn't painted black.
And the cooling/ventilation gap on the ipal is different.

Looks line for line match for the 21sw150 datasheet diagram. Just the magnet finish looks less smooth than datasheet photo.

Actually both drivers are visually near identical from that angle...only the 21ipal has 12 vent holes, the 21sw150 has 8.
Pictured driver has 10 Nothing in the b&c current or archived range matches it. Could be special order or could be a fake. If unmarked that suggests the latter. These are VERY expensive drivers if legit, so if it's too cheap for comfort, be careful. Edited by Hemisphere - 06 November 2017 at 7:48am |

Datasheets are often issued before production, sometimes things change as actual production begins or changes during the run. I wouldn't go 100% on pictures printed on datasheets.
I have B&C make a lot of samples and OEM types and seen quite a few alterations on magnets, baskets, cones .. that you find in no regular production part. I have 21SW152 in my cabs with 10 holes in this undeep milled ring groove and also some with an 8 hole magnet structure without the groove. So nothing to go on really. Going by the basket, it seems to match 21SW150. Going by the magnet, it could also be 21SW152. If it was DIY the speaker would be a regular production part with proper labels. Probably OEM... out of what are they ? Is the seller willing to provide that info ? Fake is possible, but the market for these is relatively small, so not very likely. On a side note : Is it really unmarked, because in the picture we can't see the side of the magnet, were the sticker could be. Edited by Peter Jan - 06 November 2017 at 9:37am |
