Ive been given one of these mixers for free but its completely dead, checked power supply and that seems fine in immaculate condition on the outside and inside. What could be wrong with it?

..are you sure you don't know the length of this piece if string?

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

Perhaps marginally (only marginally mind) more usefully:

When you say 'power supply' do you mean an external DC brick or wall plug?

Have you actually opened the mixer itself and checked for burnt looking/smelling components or fuses?

If you can find nothing obviously burnt on the inside you could power it on and run a multimeter along the contacts of each component (following as logically as you're able from the power input onwards) until you reach a dead end. Then it's probably (but not necessarily) that.

Would be good to get hold of a schematic for this - I have a PV8USB that I plugged the wrong power in to (used tip neg) and cooked it...
Would like to check the schematic before poking about
