On this forum is a thread about changing the fixed high pass filter in cheap behringer cx crossovers, they are usually set at 25hz which is far to low for your application, it was only a simple component change and could be set at 30, 35,40 etc, this would be a good cheap option for you, I will have a look later and put the link here, second hand they can be very cheap.

If you can not be bothered with designing a new enclosure then you are best off leaving the path length dimensions the same as they were - Unless you know a good way of scaling the speed of sound!

You could on the other hand narrow down the cabinet to suit your little driver. At least you will have a fighting chance of getting something that will function as a speaker.

A high pass filter stopping the cone from over excursion at low frequencies is a fundamental part of most speaker designs. Without it you will be restricted to low power use - what's the fun in that?
Some budget electronics have a high pass filter built in. Try to use one if you can.

Don't worry about them working too much, just think of the whole project as good woodwork practice with a bit of fun on the side. Always fancied making some tiny horns myself just for the fun of it, nuts to the physics.
