I agree. If use is for reggae Soundsystem, mixing and scratching is not the priority. Yeah he might want to run version to version but in our world, that's about it.

Respect valve head hope I can get rid of the feedback has halved since moving deck away am in process of getting turntable resonance mats sorted. THEN maybe test this rp7000 mk2 should handle bass good as has upgraded parts inside to stop the vibrations from heavy bass. Would be nice if the Technics g series came down in price. Do technics use parts only available to technics in the sl1200. As I read lots of these higher end super oem turntables have same parts such as motors etc. As there aren't too many company's making record player parts in china. Is this true? Also reviews of the reloop 8000 lots of djs say they put the sl1200 away as they prefer the reloops are a better feeling turntable as they have slightly higher torque motor also way much more functions and sound quality is on par with the sl1200s. Is the only good reviews for turntable along with the denon vl12 which also has sound quality on par with sl1200s.

Here is full comparison

Overhang and tonearm are the same universal type with 15mm hangover.

Comparing the wow and flutter technics is 0.03% mk1 & 0.025% Mk2.   Reloop 7000 mk2 flutter 0.01 %

Effective tonearm mass is 12g on SL1200 mk2 . Rp7000 mk2 tonearm mass 30g

Start up time is 0.7 sec for SL1200 mk2.   Rp7000 mk2 start up time 0.2 sec

Weight SL1200 12.5 kg.           Weight Rp7000 mk2 weight 11.7 kg

Tracking error angle 2` SL1200 mk 2.    Reloop Rp7000 mk2 tracking error angle 3`.

The specs are not far off. For a brand new deck with same Technics design cant be so bad depending on what electronic components are inside the RP7000 and other super oems decks.

Denon says its Denon VL12deck is built newly designed by them so not a super oem and not following Technics proven design

Upon investigating and watching unboxing video the rp7000 mk2 is released with

No Thick rubber mat included has a very thin slip mat.

No outer plastic lid cover for the unit.

No 45 spindle or holder for 45 spindle because there are 2 stop start buttons.

No cartridge.

No headshell.

No stylus.

I think most super oem turntables get released this way no cover or headshell etc.

Would a thick rubber mat like the technics SL1200 has maybe make sound a bit better as some people say?
