Hi all has anybody got any of the big reservoir caps and output transistors or even a whole amp that has one channel down? I’d like to repair one but the fets are hard to get hold of as are the caps

I'd think most parts are available from one of the more exotic suppliers like mouser or digikey. 15000uf at 50V ISTR, just check the diameter. From memory they are 30mm but a 35mm will fit although getting the twist-lock rivets to mate is more fiddly.
By fets I assume you mean the output transistors which are bipolars not fets, these are obsolete but the Motorola MJL21193/4 or the Fairchild 2SA1943/2SC5200 will be ok or even an upgrade. If it's old enought to wear out its bus caps then it probably deserves the other smaller capacitors on the board changing as they're often shot. |
