Personally I’d replace the pot as it is sounds like its noisy/dirty, the last thing you need after spending all this time getting it working is for it to change value and destroy the output transistors.

Replace the pot. Often see amps with wrong value pots fitted. This can make adjustment very touchy. Make sure correct value is fitted.

Pot now replaced with correct 4k7 value and bias set correctly. Thanks again everyone!
