I've been to Brazil TWICE in four months and I still didn't get to bloody experience one of these daft trucks. Next time, 100% happening.

Quote an excellent anchor for a small boat
Look honey, an 8 Ohm driver with a BL of over 45, let’s use it as a boat anchor

Quote I don't understand like Kxm ... is that LE?
No, it’s more like Le = Kxm x frequency^(Exm – 1), although most examples I’ve seen turn out a bit lower then that, still probably at least 6mH for this driver.

Quote Whats the Voice coil diameter? Xmax? Magnet gap depth? VC winding height?
Those are the million dollar questions, looking at the Qes and BL, at least one of those is BIG.

Quote Previous shipments from this supplier to here in New Zealand have run to about US$400 for 12 drivers
So 400 / 12 = US$33.3 per driver?

Like gen0me asked (see previous quote), you really would like to know the VC, Xmax, Hg and Hvc first. But everything up to know indicates lot’s of sub not so much kick.

Best regards Johan

The 91.5dB efficiency spike at 25Hz would make it perfect for theatre/installation sound effects in reflex boxes. (Earthquake/thunder etc).

Varies wildly in efficiency down low though.

The voice coil is 6 inches / 154.2mm and the xmax is 16.5mm.

I am going to ask what their MOQ is, I need a new project!

Cheers

Okay with an LE of 6 the sim is even better...

Inputs:

Grey is this driver, black is 21sw152-4

This works out to about 2500 watts at 8 ohm, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

displacement at that power:

If you do end up using these drivers in a build, id love to see a thread showing your progress and results. To my eyes it looks suitable in an othorn if you're not sure what to do with it.

Thanks a lot for all of the sims and advice. I'll be sure to post any builds I get underway, will probably be a few months down the track though!

Cheers
