and the Crown Macros also have sensitivity selectors in rear in addition to attenuators in front.

I have a Crown Macrotech, and indeed it doesn't have any pots at all. I've used it on horns, and in the past just used my LMS to balance the midrange amp. |

I don't really need volume controls or attenuators on amps. A defined amplification is good enough any day. Pro amps are probably not used to be connected directly to a DJ mixer.....
