one sub loaded. The other one will be loaded tomorrow.
I did a quick test with a PKN XE5002 and the output was pretty intense. Can't wait to test outside with some mid tops. sorry for the shit quality pictures. Some better ones will be uploaded in a few days as I need some help getting them outside. The good news is that I could lift the loaded sub with just 2 people, which means It's only about 100-120Kg loading is a bit tricky if you don't know how things are supposed to slide in. The clearance is about 4mm. The drivers need to go in, in a specific order.

I will do outdoor measurements once I break in the woofers. They are pretty stiff because they are brand new.

Well you have built a tank I give you that, although tbh for the weight to output ratio it's probably not that bad.

I have a measurement done but take it with a pinch of salt as I had some buildings around. For example the drop at 90Hz is caused by the building on the right. I will redo the measurement in a free field over the next days.
The sensation is of wobbly eyeballs when the bass hits you. The subs are super fast. Could be ideal for disco music and techno. They are very very violent. they have excellent kick too. I think I am pleased with the outcome. in the next days I will run some sine sweeps trough them to loosen the suspensions before doing some real measurements and develop a preset for the DSP. I wasn't after extreme extension. I wanted a one box solution for Bass. (40-100Hz) Edited by Mircea Bartic - 27 September 2018 at 6:46pm |

Looks like it has a nice 'disco thump'. Indeed could make some house and techno heads happy.
