Since I bang on about this so much, and the great guide by odc40r doesn't seem to be easy for people to find, I thought I'd share this fresh PDF by my buddy Scott Hinson in the States:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1h2OX8pByb5LbmsrMKzTq-e2S-OQBqyNR It's based around using the REW software which is FREE and an inexpensive microphone, and is pretty idiot proof. It's not the smoothest process compared to the pro software but that's the price you pay for budget tactics. However, the results are night and day compared to the age old 'ask the internet for horn path length' or 'play sine wave and twiddle knobs' methods when done right. So yeah. Go forth and make wooop noises, and stop asking already |

Edit: I've looked for the elusive odc40r one myself and can't find it. Anyone got a link? Edited by JonB67 - 20 August 2018 at 5:47pm |
