Hello, I’m building
a soundsystem and have some questions. This is my idea/plan (2
scoops to start with): - 2x Scoops
18” I have
already build a superscooper with: RCF LF18X401 And works fine on amp mentioned here below. I bought the T-Amp TSA 4-1300 a year
ago because of the amount of power it can give for the price. T-Amp TSA 4-1300 4 x 1220
W / 8 ohm 2 x 4000
W / 8 ohm So here are my questions: 1. What can I do with the TSA 4-1300? For scoops? or for mid/high section? 2. What other amp's should I buy for my soundsystem? And a Limiter? 3. What crossover freqencies should I use? 4. How much watt does the channel of the amp must have for a 1500w AES driver like mine for ex. 5. I have read somewhere that two 8 Ohm drivers together can play on 4 Ohm amplifier? Is this correct and usefull (sound compared to 8 Ohm)? My budget: Moderate
(not cheap, not too expensive) Please give me your advice, what to do or to change. Bless Edited by KMB - 20 August 2018 at 2:16pm |

Few minor things...
The 4-1300 isn't a good scoop amp. Even BRIDGED. So a different amp will be required for sub duty. The 4-1300 Will be great for kicks upwards. Also you mention you like CLEAN bass, scoops colour the sub a LOT! They don't produce clean sub. The hog has a cleaner sound... but then again most dub systems don't want clean sub. And in this case for the scoop amp I would aim for something with head room so the amp doesn't run super hot all night long. The idea of headroom is not to wack MORE power into the driver it's to make sure you're not running the amp close to clip and sweating the amp til it dies. |

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.
