Hellooo,
I’m planning to buy a campervan soon (converted lwb sized) with a good amount of storage space. I want to take a compact 4 box system with me on my trips so I can throw parties for max 50-75 people, mainly to be used outdoors. I’ve got the big rig for any larger events so this one is solely for this purpose. I should have a decent budget so quality sound is the first concern then after that a decent amount of SPL and ideally as compact as possible. I’m currently trying to decide between building/buying my own boxes/components or going for some existing 2nd hand branded boxes or a combo of the two. I’m aiming for a 2 sub and 2 mid top on sticks job powered
from a 4 channel amp but I’m open to suggestions on the designs. Front runner
at the minute is the Tham15 but have seen the logic push pull boxes which look
decent but are at the upper limit size wise. Again open to suggestions on midtops. |

I do like the look of those eaw boxes. In regards to the subs, the Q15s look like a nice cab but would two single 15" reflex provide a decent level playing outside? This is why I initially looked into the tapped horn designs or other types of boxes as a way of maintaining sound quality while also provide a decent amount of SPL

Yes.
One Q15 on a bicycle trailer set off every car alarm it passed in Kensington on a critical mass ride. Brilliant trail of flashing lights in it's wake... |
