I have some older Yorkville LS1208 subs.
They sound good and are loud. I’m needing to build 4 for my church. Does anyone have a plan that they KNOW works good for good low end?

Are you asking for plans to copy a yorkville ls1208, something to replace it or something to compliment it?
Do you want to reuse the drivers or did you have some others or are you buying new. Do you have something in mind or open to suggestions? |

I like the LS1208 cabinet.
I own 2. I’m needing some subs for our church for some outdoor events. I’m open to whatever. What I like about the Yorkvilles: High output 8ohm Great response Y’all (I don’t need a pole to get the mains over heads) I don’t have the drivers yet. I’m just reaching out for some plans to build my own. I’d like to hit 30Hz and have a peak of around 140.

If you already own a pair then the sensible thing to do is to take the driver out of one of your cabinets, measure it up and build another four of them from your own drawings--This way, you cannot go wrong.

Not wrong, but it does assume the OP can get matching drivers - I don't know if Yorkie sell replacement drivers on the open market or not. If he'll have to use some other model, then an exact clone of the Yorkie cab may not give the best result - at the very least it may be worth adjusting tuning for whatever driver is eventually chosen.

That’s what I’m scared of.
Building something that matches but doesn’t perform. I’d like to look at something that’s proven. Driver, cabinet plans, settings and all.

Are they going to get used with the other 2 cabinets or as 4 alone?
You ideally don't want to mix within the same passband so if using with the other 2 the new 4 need to be the same. If using them as 4 new ones on their own you'll get lots of good suggestions!

Or the B&C 18 sub design as people have had good results with other drivers not just the one it was designed for..

So recommendations for the b&c sub 18 design, and the fane 200l design.
I'll throw in the 18 sound sub designs from their website, and the g sub designs from this site if you fancy a look at double 18 cabinets. Might also find the tham 15 interesting... high output for is size and held in high regard. All tried and tested by lots of users.
