Does anyone have enclosure plans for a standard vented, direct radiating, 2x18 for B&C TBW100 4ohm speakers. I plan on stacking the enclosures about three high with a couple standard PA tops on top of that. It's going to be for mostly heavy music like EDM Dubstep, Hiphop, Metal, Rock. I dont know much about tuning enclosures but I have tools and money. I plan on pairing the speakers with the Behringer NX6000D power amplifiers and running a sub on each channel. That way I can push the amps at most to halfway at just under 1500watts per channel at 4ohms. I heard that if you tune an enclosure to lower than a speaker is specified it will reduce it's power handling. What frequency is it best to tune a subwoofer to for edm. There is a lot of 40hz-100hz rumble and energy in EDM music and hiphop so I dont know what I should do. Recommendation please?:)

This is for a pro-audio application in a club for dancing and performance. And I plan on making the enclosures out of void free Baltic birch plywood.

Box it self is tuned the same regardless of which driver you put in it. |

If you want an off the shelf design, the 18 Sound dual 18 vented box should be pretty suitable for those drivers.

I mean I've watched people make enclousre using BassBoxPro and enter in all sorts of parameters that correspond to the speaker. They build the entire enclousre around the speaker and tune the enclousre to what kind of responses they want from it. I do understand that with vented enclousres you are tuning the cabinet to adjust where the peak of the bass spectrum sits. I'm definitely looking for enclousre plans built around the B&C TBW100. The specs says that the optimal configuration for a vented enclousre should have a volume of 2.56 cuft and a F3 of 50Hz. But most enclousres I see tune it down a lot lower than that so I'm confused, we definitely use sub energy down to 40hz. I really apprechiate all your help.

Where did you get the 50 Hz from? Specs suggest 200 liters tuned to 32 Hz, there is even a graph showing -3 at 32.
