Can anyone point me in the direction of someone who would be able to look at a tapco for me please. Chan a stays in clip. Channel b works but has a massive humb

It would help if you put your location, it doesn't even say which country. Why propose a repairer in south west UK when you could be in Australia!

  If you decide not to get it repaired then I'd be interested in it for spares, I've got an Alto mac 2.4 here, which I'm pretty certain is the same amp, with a shorted toroid.

I have a Alto Mac 2.4 which I had repaired then accidently shorted something with a probe. You can buy my transformer if the deal falls through. Can't be bothered repairing it again.
