Hey brendanssound! By any chance were you ever able to find out if your fuse "B" reading was within tolerance? I have the same symptoms and my fuse B has the same reading. Any insight would be much appreciated. Cheers!

I would definitely suspect that fuse is blown or at least damaged - in any case, a resistance of 80 ohms (that may well be unstable and go even higher when significant current flows) in series with a low voltage power rail, is probably going to drop enough voltage that whatever is on the other side won't work.
Here's a datasheet for what I believe are the fuses you're looking at https://m.littelfuse.com/~/media/electronics/datasheets/fuses/littelfuse_fuse_437_datasheet.pdf.pdf It states that the "J" fuse is rated for 1.25A, and should have a nominal resistance of 0.318 ohms.

Thanks for the reply studio45! But Fuse "B" is rated for .125 https://www.littelfuse.com//en/_sheets/littelfuse_fuse_466.pdf According to this chart fuse "B" should have a Nominal Cold Resistance of 4.0ohms. My fuse "B" measures about 4.9 - 5.0ohms Does that seem within tolerance? Everything(apart from the display being completely dark) now seems to be working fine on this DJM800. At first had no power but it looks like a partly pulled out flat connector was to blame. Edited by Miarka - 07 August 2020 at 4:32pm |
