I'm trying to remove an amplifier board from the depths of a plastic speaker casing. It has been absolutely smothered in hard white glue, and I can't get the access to chisel it off. Anyone have any experience with removing this spooge, preferably with solvents? I've tried isopropyl with no effect, considering acetone...

I don't think any solvent will work, your best bet would be to try and soften it with a heat gun and pull it off with a pair of long nose pliers

Oh wow, that's something else. Acetone is a desperation solution as it is going to do nasty things to every palstic or coated component on the board plus possibly the PCB printing etc. I'd use it only as an absolute last measure. First I would try and reove as much as I could mechanically I think, sharp knife, dremel etc.
