I'm thinking of updating the firmware on my DCX to the latest 1.18A firmware. However I can't find any documentation for it. What does the firmware actually do? Does it provide any more functionality?

help!!!!!!!!!!

I have read a few reports recently of people bricking processors while doing a firmware upgrade, so unless you can confirm that this new version fixes a known problem or adds functionality I'd suggest you don't fix what's not broken.

That would only happen if you don’t have a proper, stable connection to the device before the file has finished uploading.

If anyone does brick them I have programmed EPROM's which can be installed to "unbrick".

Thanks for the replies. I'm on on version 1.16 but I don't see the point in updating if there's no feature improvements. Does anyone know what 1.17 and 1.18a do?
